Welcome to Animation Communications

Welcome to Animation Communications, a place to inform companies in the visual effects, animation, games and entertainment industries on effective ways to improve their internal and external communications as well as their studio public relations.

Communications within a studio is much more than writing a great 'about us' section on the website and studio public relations is more than having fun Twitter account with pictures of studio Christmas parties.

What I want to do is provide simple ways to improve professional communications and public relations.
  • Strong internal communications such as artist to management and management to management is important. There are simple ways to improve these relationships with better communication strategies.
  • External communications are just as important as it is includes communicating with potential employees and expanding your professional connections.
  • A lot of the public relations within a studio relies on their online presence, so improve the company website, making sure it is current and isn't 'undergoing maintenance'.
  • Be an active member on social media but keep the postings relevant and professional.
  • Create more of a presence within the community by representing the studio at relevant events and grow the company audience.

I am excited about this blog because it combines two of my professional passions, communication and visual effects. I studied communications and PR and have work experience in visual effects studio coordination. If you have read this far I hope you revisit the blog once I have it jam-packed with great tips on improving your animation communications.

Don't wait around to be eaten up by bad communications and a poor public image.
